Rural Culture Concert Series: Performing in the villages

Females of Doubtful Reputation and Fun With Nuns will be performing under the Toumba bridge, in Gallikos, Greece, on Saturday, June 23, 2012. Starts at 20:00. The event is organized by Full Wave Rectifier Laboratories in association with the local people, as part of the Rural Culture Concert Series.

The concert is a non-profit event, with free admission. There will be a donations box for anyone who would like to donate to such causes. The donations will be used to cover the costs of the artists and event organization. When the costs are covered, all further donations will go towards more Rural Culture Concert Series events. There will be no drinks or food for sale at the concert. The audience is encouraged to support the suffering local market, in the village of Gallikos.

Come on over and support the rural DIY scene. Cities are done.. Over-consumed. Over-rated. The new hip scene is in the villages now. There will also be plenty of free vehicle parking on site, and the possibility to camp, if there is enough interest.

Stolen Vehicle Alert

Make: Volkswagen
Model: LT 28 D
Type: Motor Caravan (PKW)
Color: Black (badly spray-painted) with White Plastic high-top roof.

Registration Number: B-AN 9514
Year of Manufacture: 1992
VIN (Chassis) Number: WV2ZZZ21ZNH016705
Engine Type: 2.4 Turbo-Diesel (VW D24T)

Stolen from Berlin, Germany, between April 28 and May 18. Her name is Betty. She was a band tour-bus, bringing entertainment to people all around Europe. Before that, she was used by an alternative education project to travel around Europe for workshops. Her current owner cannot possibly afford to replace her. We really would like to get her back, in one piece. If you stole her, but have now regretted it and feel guilty, please return her.

PLEASE NOTE: The van has been found, unfortunately destroyed. The wiring was ripped out in a very sad attempt to hot-wire her, the seats and windows were broken, even the steering wheel was broken. So, no need to tell us if you see her now. But if you have any information on who did this, we would be very happy to know.

Females doing what they know best...

Two songs from a recent Females of Doubtful Reputation performance have been captured on video and posted online. You too, can now witness the raw sound, the sheer industrial craftsmanship, that these guys have brought upon a small rural community in southeastern Europe.

Finally an internet presence...

Females of Doubtful Reputation have finally made it to this new internet thing. They are usually busy with construction work, so they don't have time for that sort of stuff... But they have promised to try and keep you guys and gals out there up to date with their weird activities.

Although these guys have been around since 1954, there's not much to read on the internet about them. The "music industry" has always been run by a rich, corrupt, ruling class elite, who try their best to silence true working class talents. They don't want bands like this one to exist. They're bad for business..

This internet business is also run by a rich, corrupt, ruling class elite, who don't want stuff like this here. But we will try to hold on strong. If this website disappears overnight, the band will still be contactable on channel 19 on CB radio.
